Updates

The Container Store has added add two new items to the Avera product selection and one new element to the Elfa product selection. 

NEW Avera Expanding Valet Rod
NEW Avera Glass Shelf
NEW Elfa Expanding Valet Rod for décor Shelves

These items are now available in the TCS Design Tool and are available for customers to include in their custom closet. It is imperative that you read through each installation guide so that you understand how to install these items correctly. 

A couple of important elements to pay special attention to:
  • NEW Avera & Elfa Expanding Valet Rods: The installation requires the addition of anti-tip clips
  • NEW Avera Glass Shelf: Do not remove the plastic film until the shelf is in place

We are so excited to continue our Fall for Penmarc theme for the month of October. Last week we had the privilege of Getting to Know Josh Silba, Southeast Market Manager.  
To continue with our Get to know Penmarc theme we are so excited to have Kelly Beard, our Director of Office Operations join us this week with her special guest as we get to know another one of our Penmarc Family. Take it away, Kelly  
 
Kelly:
Hello everyone!  Happy Fall!  I can’t believe it’s already October 20th!  This year is flying by!  This week I’m excited to continue our Fall for Penmarc theme.  I think there are so many factors that make employees enjoy and FALL for their jobs….money, a sense of purpose, accomplishment, and a sense of community and recognition.  One of the ways we try to build a community for our installers is through our support team.  Our coordinators know that installers are out there driving around, having car trouble, stuck in traffic, dealing with some challenging customers, and most of the time you’re doing it by yourself!  
 
So we strive to set you up for success with a good route, plans, notes on any information that you’ll need walking into the job.  We’re calling to confirm visits to make sure the customer is on-site and we are here for you on game day for any problems you run into or support we can give you!  Burdens always feel lighter when they are shared so if we can help reschedule customer or let them know you’re running late, call services or the customer, we are here for you.  

 

One of the OG Coordinators who has been helping you guys since almost the beginning is our special guest today!  I thought you guys might want to get to know Jamie Glassford a little better!  She started out as our coordinator for the NC/TN stores and then took on our Philly-Pittsburgh market.  Hopefully, you’ve all had the pleasure of speaking with her!  If you have, you know she is friendly, knowledgeable, and super helpful!  Because of all that and so much more, she was quickly promoted to a team lead and has been taking on more responsibilities with schedules, escalations, and support.

 

Kelly: Jamie!  Welcome to the Inspired Call! What’s one of the things that would make your job as a coordinator easier?
 
Jamie: More notes in the tasks, when we have escalations or problems knowing what happened in more detail is super helpful.
 
Kelly: What is one thing coordinators try to do to make installers' lives easier?
 
Jamie: Routing, blocking after 3 days, mapping things, emailing and calling customers for information on demo
 
Kelly: What is your favorite thing about Penmarc and Coordinating?
 
Jamie: Getting to know the installers, helping them with problems
 
Kelly: Have you had any interesting life events since you’ve been with Penmarc?
 
Jamie: Wedding & building a house.
 
Kelly: Okay the questions we ask everyone is would you rather sing everything you have to say or dance everywhere you go?
 
Jamie: I would sing everywhere I go.
