Employee Spotlight of The Week!

Welcome to the call! We hope each of you had a wonderful Christmas or Kwanzaa holiday. Here we are on the final inspired Call of 2020! 
 
It’s been a challenging year but as a team, we have persevered and even managed to get better in all areas of the business.  
 
It was about this time last year that Penmarc was taking steps towards significant growth, taking on new markets in Philadelphia, Pittsburg, and South Texas with an eye on Southern California. We also hired several Market Managers, and new office staff – all to support our growing business and YOU.  
 
Our hope is that these efforts have made a positive impact on each of you, but we know there is still a lot of work to be done to make each aspect of the installation process better. One way in which we lay the groundwork for improvements is to constantly refer to our core values. You’ve heard us mention these throughout the year:
 
1. Spirit of Excellence – Doing the best you can every day, working with a purpose, and treating others with respect.
2. Doing the Right Thing – Always upholding our commitments and embracing a culture of transparent accountability.
3. We Before Me – Great results are achieved by working together with collaboration and cooperation.

These values are aspirational goals, they are ongoing resolutions that we will work to embody each day. We do not always hit the mark dead-on, but these values are so important to our mission that they supersede any other goal. So whether you work directly for Penmarc or you’re a 1099 or subcontractor we invite you to embrace these values in order to raise the tide and grow with Penmarc.  

 

So in the spirit of making resolutions, I challenge each of you to pick one of our core values and tell us how we can do better to embody that value. And because these values are a two-way street, look inward and pick one value in which you would like to get better. You can reach out to your Market Manager or contact me directly by email, text, or call and provide your feedback.

Housekeeping Topics:
• Elfa Sale: We saw a record number of installation orders come with the start of the Elfa Sale. Unfortunately, TCS had technical errors with Salesforce which, among other issues, cause some customers to be double-booked and plans to not upload. Our office team along with TCS have been working diligently to correct the schedule and fill in the missing data; however, if you notice anything out of the ordinary with your jobs, please reach out to the coordinating team.  
• Elfa Standard Wall Clips are not automatically sold with each system. We advise that you not “sell” these products to customers. Remember, one weight is added to an elfa system it helps stabilize the standards. However, if you see a need for Standard Wall Clips, we recommend you connect with TCS Installation Services.  
• As a reminder New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are workdays for the field.  
o Installs are scheduled anytime from 8 am to 2 pm on New Year’s Eve.  
o New Year’s Day is a regular workday for the field and coordinating teams.
• We have updated regular hours in our Coordinating Office to better support our West Cost Installers. The coordinator hours are:
Monday – Friday: 7 am – 9 pm (Eastern)
Saturday: 8 am – 9 pm (Eastern)
Sunday: 8 am – 5 pm (Eastern)
